Micro-Needling or Collagen Induction Therapy

Micro-needling can dramatically improve the appearance of your skins texture and overall tone of the skin.

the Micro-Needling Professional Pen device used at Aesthetta is physician-designed to exfoliate while creating microchannels for delivery of serums. The microperforations created during this procedure release growth factors triggering the wound healing process. During this process the body produces more collagen and elastin leaving skin brighter, healthier, and more luminous.

The micro-channels allow for topical skin care products to work better and penetrate more deeply into the skin.

How does micro needling make the skin younger and smoother?

Automated micro needling punctures the skin to create controlled micro-injuries – approximately 250 tiny holes per square centimeter. These micro-injuries trigger the body to release growth factors and fill these tiny wounds with newly produced elastin, the elastic protein that allows the tissues to resume their shape after stretching, and collagen, the most abundant protein within the body that serves as connective tissues. By producing these components, the skin can improve its texture and firmness and remove wrinkles while reducing the prominence of scars, stretch marks, and pore size.

For maximum results and to further enhance your treatment a professional skin care regimen is recommended. To learn more about our skin care products, complimentary skin analysis consultations are available at our Aesthetta.

Usually 3-4 treatments are required for optimum results, however immediate improvement in skins smoothness, firmness, hydration can be seen after a single treatment. Treatments are spaced one month apart and performed by a plastic surgeon. Downtime is little, if any.

Discomfort at treatment site such as redness and swelling may last up to 2 hours or longer. With longer needle lengths the skin will look sunburned for a day or two with potential pinprick scabbing and will return to normal by day 2 or day 3.

Micro needling compliments facial fillers, Botox injections, lasers, and chemical peels.
